Juan Carlos Ahumada obtained a license in chemistry (2011) and a Doctoral degree in science with chemistry mention (2017) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Valparaíso, Chile. Between 2018-2019, he worked as a professor in different Universities in Chile, such as Universidad Federico Santa María (Santiago), Universidad Andres Bello (Viña del Mar) and Universidad Santo Tomas (Viña del Mar). He joined the Institute for Basic Science in 2020 as a research fellow in the laboratories of Prof. Grzybowski.
The scientific interests are in Organic Chemistry applied to nanomaterials and conducting polymers*
