I’m currently a Ph.D. student from Peking University. And I will join in the group of Prof. Steve Granick as a research fellow after getting my Ph.D. degree expected on July 2019.
My research focused on allosteric self-assembly during my Ph.D. period. By designing a functional amphiphile with a ligand part, we can regulate the molecular conformation of the amphiphile with the coordination interaction between different metal ions and ligand. The function of a material is related to the molecular conformation or molecular packing mode. With allosteric self-assembly strategy, we can obtain different self-assembled structures with different functions, such as light-harvesting, fabrication of nanomaterials, antibacterial.
I arrived IBS, CSLM on March 11, 2019. It’s a great place to challenge different research field and expand my research experience. I’ll try to do something creative, meaningful and useful.
